Dit is een filatelistische vereniging die tot doel heeft de bestudering van de filatelie van (vroegere) delen van tropisch Nederland, gedeeltelijk van Indonesië, van Australië, Nieuw Zeeland en de Pacific. ZWP is a philatelistic society aiming at the study of the philately of (former) tropical parts of The Netherlands, partially of Indonesia, of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. About ZWP
De Studiegroep ZWP is opgericht op 25 mei 1968 en heeft zich in 1984 aangesloten bij de NBFV. Aanvankelijk was het een vereniging voor verzamelaars van Nieuw-Guinea. In de jaren negentig kwamen de andere gebieden die behoren tot de Indonesische archipel, erbij. Met de opname van de gebiedsdelen in de West is de wens gerealiseerd van één studiegroep voor alle (voormalige) Nederlandse Overzeese Rijksdelen. Daarnaast maken ook Papoea Nieuw-Guinea en Australië deel uit van het interessegebied van ZWP. Onze leden wonen over de gehele wereld.
The Study Group ZWP was founded on 25 May 1968 and joined the NBFV, the Dutch Bond of Philatelistic Societies, in 1984. Initially, it was a society of collectors of Dutch New Guinea. In the 1990s, other regions belonging to the former Dutch, but now Indonesian archipelago were added. With the inclusion of the territories in the West, the wish for a single study group for all (former) Dutch Overseas Territories was fulfilled. Additionally, Papua New Guinea and Australia are also part of ZWP’s area of interest. Our members live all over the world.
Ledenbijeenkomsten- Meetings for members
Jaarlijks worden vijf bijeenkomsten gehouden in de “De Open Hof”, Hoflaan 2, 6714AJ in Ede. Het telefoonnummer is 0318-63 94 26. De bijeenkomsten zijn altijd op een zaterdag en de zaal is open vanaf 10:00. Tijdens de bijeenkomsten worden (ruil)contacten gestimuleerd, voordrachten gegeven en filatelistisch materiaal getoond. Elke bijeenkomst wordt afgesloten met een clubveiling. Eenmaal per jaar is er een clubtentoonstelling.
Yearly five meetings are being held in “De Open Hof”, Hoflaan 2, 6741AJ, Ede. The meetings are on a Saturday, and the premise is open from 10.00 a.m.
During the meeting contact between members is stimulated, presentations are being given and the meeting always ends with an auction. Once a year a club exhibition is held.

De website bevat informatie over de studieobjecten van ZWP. Tot op heden is dat voornamelijk Nederlands Indië en Indonesië. Het omvat o.a. alle typen stempels die gebruikt zijn op NI, scheepsstempels, aantekenstrookjes etc., in feite alles wat postaal of postale historie is! Hiernaast ziet u een voorbeeld van een deel van de inhoud van de website.
The website contains information on the study objects of ZWP. Until now it is predominantly Dutch Indies and Indonesia. It includes e.g. all types of postmarks, used in Dutch Indies/Indonesia, ship cancellations, Registration labels, in fact everything postal and postal history. An example of a part of the website is shown to the right.
